Congratulations to subscriber Sharyn Hambley! Her stunning photo of the Yorkshire Moors, inspired by one of her favorite novels, wins this month's British Heritage Photo Competition. Be sure to submit your photos today for the chance to be featured on our website and the magazine!

Hambley writes: "I was on vacation in Great Britain, and I traveled to Haworth to visit the Bronte Museum, as I'd always loved Jane Eyre. After leaving the museum, I took a road out of Haworth that led me to this scenic site that captured all the haunting romanticism of the Yorkshire Moors portrayed in Charlotte Bronte's book. Looking out at this landscape, I could well imagine how its beauty had inspired Charlotte and her sisters when they wrote about it in their many books."

Congratulations to you, Sharyn! On both your beautiful picture and your great taste in literature. Click the image below to enlarge and imagine yourself as Jane--or perhaps Cathy from Wuthering Heights--and then reflect on the short-but-brilliant lives of the Bronte sisters.
